Olympic Game Farm Guide
Get Up Close and Personal with Wildlife! Guide
The Olympic Game Farm is a unique drive-through wildlife park located in Sequim, Washington. It offers visitors the chance to see a variety of animals, including bison, elk, bears, wolves, and exotic birds, from the comfort of their own vehicles. It's a fantastic experience for families and animal lovers of all ages, providing memorable encounters and photo opportunities. The farm's history is rooted in the entertainment industry. Originally established in 1955 by Lloyd Beebe, it served as a training and holding facility for animals used in Disney films and television shows. Many of the animals you see today are descendants of those original "movie stars." The farm transitioned to a public attraction in the 1970s, allowing visitors to witness the animals up close and learn about their care and conservation. Visitors can drive the 5-mile loop through the park, stopping to observe and photograph the animals. A highlight is the "waving bears," who have learned to wave at cars in anticipation of a piece of bread (which you can purchase at the entrance). There's also a petting farm area where you can interact with smaller animals. The farm offers educational programs and guided tours for groups. While there isn't a specific culinary tradition associated with the farm, there are picnic areas available for visitors to enjoy their own meals.
